Ancient Delta Museum

Finally exposed the finds collected over the years in our area

On March 25 it was finally opened to the public in Comacchio, in the 18th-century Hospital of the Sick, the Ancient Delta Museum with over 2,000 artifacts that testify to the history of the area Comacchio and the Po Delta from antiquity to the Middle Ages. An exhibition that traces the history of the Etruscan Spina, going from Roman times to get to the founding of Comacchio. A single route and to this day known to few, as many objects and works that are shown to the public for the first time.

The museum is divided into five sections that show the prehistory, the Spina age, the Roman age, the load of the Roman ship and the Middle Ages.



Opening time:

From March to June and from September to October

From Tuesday to Sunday: from 9:30 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:30;

July and August

everyday: from 9:30 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:30

From November to February

From Tuesday to Saturday: from 9;30 to 13:00 and from 14:30 to 18:00
Sunday and holidays: from 10:00 to 17:00

Ticket prices:

- Full price ticket: € 6.00
- Reduced ticket (11-18 years of age, over 65, groups with a 20-person minimum): € 3.00
- Free admission: children under 11 years accompanied by a paying adult; differently-abled with accompanying person; tourist guides; military personnel; journalists
