2017 brings with it so many tours and events to discover the Po Delta
From 18 March to 25 June, when nature wakes up from winter hibernation and explodes in all its glory, they renew the initiatives for birdwatchers and the slow tourism.
Within the territories of the two Po Delta Parks, the north and south of the Veneto to Emilia-Romagna, are held for 14 weeks magnificent initiatives, events and excursions, to know the pristine environments of the Po Delta, discovering the endless variety of fauna and flora as well as the local food and wine, strongly rooted in the peculiarities of the territory.
Cycling, walking, boating, horseback riding and itineraries dedicated to wine, birdwatching and photography lessons, educational workshops designed for small children, are only part of what these weeks you can live, surrounded by nature , outdoors, taking all the time to watch every single moment.
But not only nature. There will be the opportunity to discover palaces, monuments, churches where the culture and the human presence can express themselves with the beauty and harmony of the visual arts and movement. There are many small cultural treasures such as palaces, churches, gardens, area of Delta mostly unknown to the public and that the 2017 edition takes you to discover.
So you can choose to take a route with a small flat-bottomed boat along the Po di Maistra and Golena Ca 'Pisani through a suggestive and uncontaminated environment; or take a Bike & Boat along the river Po, concluding the tour with a boat ride to the mouth of the river; and still visit the Mesola deer and cross the Po River Mouth with a trip by boat to the discovery of the mouth and stop the Abbey Pomposa; or get to Comacchio with a scenic bike path to see up close the beautiful pink flamingos or experience first hand the experience to navigate in a canoe in the valleys accompanied by expert naturalist guides. As you move further down, in Ravenna, you can make an excursion by electric boat from the humid oasis Ortazzo and Ortazzino, vantage point to enjoy the wealth of flora and fauna that characterize the area of Bevano; or take a walk through the hydric wood Alberete spikes or along the bank of the Reno river; visit the archaeological site of Classe or the city of Ravenna with its mosaics and finally close the day with a sunset stroll among the Salina of Cervia.
